John Mayer is pure talent
"Having been in Nashville, music city USA for 14 years, I've seen countless shows. Lynch's ability to hear grooves, just genius. Mold his Fender Strat to his will and combine that voice with sexy lyrics, I'm a drummer and a fan of music of all genres.
The sound quality from the upper deck was not too bad. We were very glad to have bought binoculars from where we sat. Although more on screen shots of him would have been nice, I was not blow away by the show by any means. By today's standards, the production was low quality. But, I believe that is what Dustin wanted- just him and his guitar with a band. The out of date graphics they choose are lackluster when you would rather see close up of him playing those guitars.
At the time we had no idea what he was referring too, but after researching it was nice to hear. One interesting point was his break down moment in front of the audience where he announced he was out of the media game and was done being "clever".
But I would suggest to try to find a small venue where he can concentrate on his more jazz and blues style. Recommend to anyone to go see Lynch. The Sommet Center was a bit big for his style show in my opinion."
